Indicators ...
Been high on life the last few months, back in the gym, etc, etc. Noticed the ol' belly feels a little fuller than normal which has prompted me to focus on my eating (or lack of) a little more. But, saw a video from a week ago and .... was surprised by what I saw. My ass was in it helping drape a flag and was not happy what I saw. Funny how we get an impression of what we look like via comments, mirrors, etc. But, when you see a view from a different angle, changes your thought process.
Now, in the gym ... I just got a new weight belt(s). Sweet XLs and put aways the 2XLs. Progress. Vascularity is the best it's been in a decade. Weights go up EVERY workout. Reps go up. The 2XL shirts fit again, as they should. The 3XLs are looking baggy and need to be retired. So, yep... all is good. Well, sort of. That fucking video tells a different story. Opened my workout tracker to the beginning. This one was started in 2013. My weights are almost back to what I was pushing 11 years ago. I'm guessing by the end of February I should surpass those numbers. So, all is going the right direction.
Except for that fucking video. Reality check. One week from now, Operation Phase II begins. Reduce the belly further. Still, here I am a decade later (in that log book) and ... almost equal to where I was at 52 years of age . Hell... I'll take it. Spoke with JFD a couple of days ago. Jeepin The Coast is in Four Months... He's now on a motivated path to step up his game. Told me I'm motivating him. Hell, he's motivating me. Hopefully we'll be strutting our shit in the sand down on the Gulf. Gotta' have a goal!
