300 .. the magic number
Ha! Back in the day, that was all about Bench Presses..... damned, those were the days... I'd warm up with 225 with 12-15 reps like it was nothing.. then ... work up to 300 with slow movements... but... those days are long gone.
300 now.. I think of bodyweight. Remember that 300 bench? Yeah.. I weighed like 235 when I was throwing those around. 300 now is my fucking weight. Hey ... could be worse .. I've broke 330 the last few years, and it's ugly. This morning, weighed in a 300.5 ... 1/2 lb from that magical number that starts with a '2' .. grrrr. Maybe tomorrow? For sure by Wednesday. Wife just asked me what the big deal was when I mentioned this... hmmmmmmmmmmm .. B E C A U S E!
I'm still not in the gym since my ticker issues popped up last month. Maybe Monday I'll roll in depending how I feel. But, alcohol intake is minimal. Food calories are down. Starting to finally get some good sleep. So, 299 is just around the corner... .. it's just a number but ... then, 290. Then 280, then..... my goal is 275 and will evaluate from there. Hopefully at that point my pants are down a waist size... maybe two?
Three days in a row at 300.5 So, I know it's 'real' . Now just need to break through it!
ReplyDeleteI'm fighting the 245 plateau. I know I'm putting on muscle because my 36" pants are getting slightly loose but I still can't fit in my 34" loose jeans. Hopefully this upcoming trip doesn't set me too far back.
